I'm in Mumbai for joining my PG course. The admission procedures have been completed. Now, I'm waiting for my classes to start on the 2nd of May. I'm currently sharing an apartment with my friend in Worli, which is about 3 km from my hospital. I will anyway get a hostel room and I'll be coming to the apartment only once or twice in a week or so.

Other than serious stuff, Mumbai is just great! I'm enjoying every minute that I'm spending here.

I'm sorry to inform you that Neena P. S. has been admitted in the
Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram following an RTA. She sustained
maxillary fractures, a scapular fracture and multiple abrasions and
contusions. She is in the Staff room by the side of Ward 8 under S2.

This unforutnate incident took place 4 days back. I came to know about
it only yesterday and was able to visit her today.

She, is okay now. Praveena K. G. and Kavitha J. B. are helping her
family out nursing her.

Nothing big or new in here. Well except for these rocking facts!!!

Raghu is getting into the study groove. He is spending more and more time at the PG hostel's terrace with his books.
Shanavas' presentations are getting to be noted by the whole department of Medicine. He regularly dazzles everyone with PowerPoint presentations on one of his various laptops; when the department computer refuses to work!
Ajith M. is now staying at the PG's hostel.
Shifas Baby has taken a brand new computer. He enjoys the occasional flick with Raghu on the system with its powerpacked audio!
KKM is back into his prime-form on the cricket playing field. Gracing us peasants last week, he hit a couple of matchwinning knocks before dishing out a fine display of pacy McGrath-esque bowling!
Soumya C. V. is growing a beard these days. Not unexpected, am I not right? [Just kidding! This was to make sure that you would be reading such updates]

I was able to catch up with Sudin when he was in Trivandrum in connection with a special screening of the popular film named after him in which Mammooty plays the lead - 'Black'! ;) He is still enjoying his duties as the most responsible First Year Surgery PG in his college.

Meanwhile, Priyesh (who is one year senior to Sudin) is happy to have someone to engage in light-hearted talk in Malayalam during his days at Mysore. They both go for hanging out in the poshest of corners of the city of Mysore in their free time.

S. at Yenopoya College of Dental Sciences, Mangalore. Her residence is at Trivandrum.

I'm pleased to inform you that Ranjih S. (or Chakku, as most in the batch would remember him as) was engaged to Sheema on Nov 28th, 2004 at a function held in Sheema's native place in Payyannur, Kannur. Sheema, who is a medical graduate from Karnataka, is currently doing her M. D. Gynecology in Mangalore. She is a colleague of Preetha P. R. who is doing the same course there.

The engagement was a high-profile function with attendances in the range of thousands. A few of our batchmates were able to make it to the function; Preetha P. R. (from Mangalore), Althaf (from Manipal), Anoop S. (from Bangalore), Sudin S. R. & Priyesh (from Mysore), KKM, Raghu, Aneesh A. and myself from Thiruvananthapuram.

The marriage will be held on the 30th of January 2005 in the Guruvayoor Temple. An elaborate reception is scheduled on the 2nd of February 2005 for the whole of the batch. The invitation cards will be sent to all of you. Watch out for them and start gift-shopping!

Our dearest 'Radio' is blaring love songs these days. Yes, Anish M. R. got married to Nithya in a formal function at the Trivandrum Club Hall on the 22nd of November 2004. The bride is a M. S. W. (Master of Social Work) and is joining the Sree Sankara Ophthalmology institute at Coimbatore as a patient counsellor. As you know already, Anish is doing his D. N. B. in Ophthalmology there.

The couple enjoyed a wonderful honey-moon at the Munnar hill resort and are leaving for Coimbatore on the 9th of December, 2004.

Ranbaxy has given him a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) which means that he will have the job before the campus placements start. He is offered a salary of 6. 8 Lakhs per annum and he has a compulsory foreign stint during the first year itself. The options for that include USA, Russia... maybe even Cameroon. He still has one year left before graduating from FMS, Delhi. He's currently in Mumbai. Congrats!
